I do rather like Mondays because of Book club and Charms club, but I have to say that getting up this morning was rather difficult. This weekend was so lovely, it's almost strange being back in school already. I had forgotten how nice it is to get out of the castle every once and awhile. It figures that I would come back from Winter Holidays and get sick. I've been incapacitated in my room for days. It's alright though, things are looking up!
Today my fever is down and I've managed to actually pay attention in my classes! I would greatly appreciate it if someone would help me go over what we've learned in potions in the last few days. With my brain so clouded, I think I hardly retained any information at all!
Oh and Happy Friday the 13th everyone. It's only unlucky if you make it so!

I broke one of my guitar strings last night. I was rather distraught about it, but I suppose I can hold off using my high E string until I go to Hogsmeade and get another one. I also kind of want to buy a harmonica.
Does anyone have any good plans for the Hogsmeade trip this weekend?

What is everyone planning on doing during the Winter Holidays? They are approaching rather swiftly. PRIVATE HUFFLEPUFFS:I've left a bunch of cookies in the common room. They are supposed to taste like hot chocolate, since it's getting so much colder. Let me know what you think if you try one! I made them earlier today when I was feeling a bit overwhelmed. There is no possible way I can eat them all by myself. PRIVATE SEVERUS SNAPE:This is probably a stretch, but I think you may be better at potions than Slughorn. I feel just awful! Those poor little mandrakes must've been so scared being pushed out of their habitat like that! I can't hear much of anything, but Madam Pomfrey says that should go away soon enough. She's going to let me go in about in hour, though I'm not sure my hearing will be back by then.
If you yell my name and I don't respond. Please do tap me on the shoulder. I'll be carrying around a notepad all day- and Edgar has offered to help me as well.
I hope everyone else is feeling okay! From what I can tell, it's still a lovely day outside.

I can't wait to go home and start decorating for Christmas! Dad is sort of a Mr. Scrooge until I get him going. I usually have to put up most of the decorations myself, but at least I can sing while I do it! I hope it snows soon, Hogwarts looks so lovely with snow on the ground.
What is everyone planning on doing at Hogsmeade this weekend? I don't have any plans yet, but I'll most likely be visiting The Rose Garden and Honeydukes. I'm in desperate need of tea and some sweets.
